MAJOR ELEMENTS OF YOUR JOB:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·Assign freight forwarders to vendors on all inbound freight for both domestic and international shipments

·Review all import documents provided by vendors for accuracy and completeness, including the Commercial Invoice, Packing Lists, AWB/SWB, plus communicate and reconcile any discrepancies with the supplier, the buyer, and the freight forwarder when required.

·Submit all import documents to the US Customs Broker for pre-clearance and tracking.

·Provide additional information to our Customs Broker for proper clearance of inbound shipments when required (FCC/FDA/HTS/COO).

·Perform Intransit transactions in JDE for inbound international shipments from vendors

·Audit Customs Broker Entry documents for accuracy and completeness

·Maintain Import document filing system.

·Track all inbound freight for both domestic and international shipments, plus provide status updates when requested.

·Provide subject matter expertise in the area of government regulations applicable to the company’s product in all global jurisdictions where business is conducted, including advice on the proper classification and duty/customs regulations and requirements.

·Acts as an internal broker to expedite the transportation of products, by ensuring all documentation is compliant and is able to intervene or escalate to a more senior team member, when problems arise.

·Uses the appropriate data system for accurate and timely documentation, and provides information (reports) as needed for tracking and monitoring of logistics effectiveness.

·Maintains the integrity and reputation of Christie Digital through proper relationships with suppliers (carriers & customs brokers).

·Provides month end reports

·Notify appropriate parties of any receiving discrepancies, including shipment overages/shortages/freight damages and champion the reconciliation of the discrepancy.

·Requests freight rate tariff sheets from freight forwarders, and maintain supplier / freight forwarder rate tariff matrix.

RESPONSIBILITIES:What are the major duties and activities required to under-take this position.

·Ensures JD Edwards (database) is kept up-to-date for in transit product and accurate. Ensures documentation is available as required by government regulations.

·Answers questions, interprets and provides advice to others within Christie Digital in regards to government regulations and practices in all points of entry where the company does business.

·Responsible for intransit inventory management ETD and ETA on shipments

·Investigates situations as they arise, or escalates to others, so product moves quickly while ensuring that company liability and financial risk is negated or minimized.

·Interfaces regularly with external suppliers (carriers) and government officials (Customs) to represent the best interests of the company while operating with the highest level of integrity.

·Works as part of a team of subject matter experts, and provides back-up and support to other specialists, and the Manager, as required.

·Reviews supplier shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness (Commercial Invoice, Packing Slip, AWB).

·Updates JDE for Intransit inventory.

·Updates and maintains Intransit notification board (Supplier, PO, Commercial invoice, ETA, Qty, intransit, delivered, etc.)

·Additional tasks may be requested by Management
