SUMMARY 


The Financial Analyst is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements while ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures are effective.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

 
Accurate and timely preparation of financial transactions and related reports along with the analysis of results.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in month-end accounting closing process: analyze and reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries and assist in analysis of PL results
  • Prepare and assist quarterly report submissions for internal management and parent company
  • Prepare audit schedules and quarterly consolidated financial statements to facilitate engagements with external auditors to ensure timely close
  • Design, implement and maintain an effective system of internal controls
  • Assist with preparation of schedules supporting the quarterly and annual corporate income tax provisions
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and business plans
  • Maintain the Christie’s accounting policies and procedures.  
  • Develop network across functions within Christie to facilitate the gathering of reporting/planning requirements
  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers to ensure the accuracy of our financial records
  • Compile data and complete government surveys and censuses
  • Perform ad hoc assignments and special projects related to finance areas as required

SKILLS

  • Customer service orientation is imperative
  • Strong analytical, planning, reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize amongst diverse tasks
  • Detail-oriented and proactive
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, result-driven environment
  • Experience with major accounting software packages

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Possessing CPA designation or in progress
