Position Overview

The focus of this role is to proactively drive brand engagement through local partnerships.  This role works develops strategy with the Sr. Manager of Partnerships and Event Marketing to “test” and refine grass roots efforts.  Works closely with Sales to provide support to Customer activations and engineer ways to optimize sales through networking, generating qualified leads for sales and making the first introduction on behalf of the brand; converting our sponsorship into a B2B revenue generating program while maximizing consumer brand engagement. This role will be provided strategic cities, zip codes to perform hyper geo targeting at the local level. 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

Event & Partner Portfolio Management

  • Coordinates heavily with internal teams and external partners to develop the annual market plans by city that meet brand objectives. 
  • Establishes KPIs and measure effectiveness of partnerships, sponsorships, events and more.
  • Must be familiar with Texas and how to drive a brand within this geography.
  • Must immerse self into the local area to do activations that are highly relevant and disruptive in the local market.  

Administration

  • The position is responsible for several events each week and is responsible for each group being properly prepared for their travel, assisting with issues during events, troubleshooting, and making sure each event is a success.
  • Manage all budgets and expenses to ensure programs are executed within budget guidelines.

People Leadership

  • Oversee event staff and responsibilities, including scheduling.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Event Marketing.

Influencer Management and Strategy

  • Will lead identifying paid brand influencers(athletes) to help evangelize the brand to audiences.
  • Manages paid team of influencers to ensure timely social posts, content development, proper behavior, support of brand, branded attire is worn and more.
  • Develop strategy to capitalize on brand strategy leveraging influencers.

Media and Promotions

  • Lead local integrated marketing executions and provides strategic guidance to leaders in Sales and Marketing to optimize targeted activities.
  • Develop a monthly promotional schedule.
  • Recap all promotions and communicate to local contacts on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Communicate monthly/weekly promotional calendar to appropriate client and distributor personnel.
  • Interact frequently with media properties and makes recommendation for media supporting the partnership and event space.

Position Requirements

Required

  • Must reside in Dallas, Texas.
  • Must have a passion for coffee.
  • Experience planning and hosting VIP branded events.
  • Prior Field Marketing experience is required.
  • 3+ Years of Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing or Sponsorship experience.
  • Must have prior working or personal experience activating a national or global brand at the DMA or city level for hyper local marketing activations and media placements.
  • Must have experience working with media teams and/or agencies to recommend local paid media activations including outdoor, event and grass roots efforts.
  • Excellent management and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must interact with the general public at event venues in a professional manner; must effectively interact with high net-worth individuals and c-suite executives to penetrate local market and foster leads for sales teams.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to foster consultative relationships to achieve results.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and traditional office skills are also required.
  • Requires a flexible schedule with heavy travel (up to 40%), including on weekends.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a schedule.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly desired. 
  • College Education preferred in marketing, business, journalism or similar experience.
  • Prior integrated marketing and media experience is preferred. Sales experience or the ability to sell is also strongly encouraged.
  • Prior food or beverage experience is ideal but not required.
