Operations - Assistant Operations Manager

The Warehouse Assistant Manager ensures that all warehouse operations are
conducted in a safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective manner in compliance
with company policy, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. As a Warehouse Assistant Manager with Hajoca your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
•Supervise, schedule, and train warehouse to ensure safe and efficient operation of all warehouse functions.
•Supervise and schedule the maintenance material handling equipment in use in the warehouse.
•Review and maintain appropriate certification of training for forklift operators.
•Maintain the safety of warehouse operations in compliance with the company’s Safety Standards, OSHA, and any other applicable regulations.
•Maintain the security of the warehouse and grounds to protect the Profit Center’s assets.
•Resolve all delivery complaints and receiving disputes quickly and effectively.
All interested applicants must possess:
•High school diploma or equivalent industry experience
•Minimum 5+ years of material handling experience
•Minimum of 2+ years warehouse management/supervisor experience
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with team members, customers, and vendors
•Comprehensive knowledge of, and be able to apply and enforce, OSHA and other material handling safety regulations.
•A proper and valid driver’s license
Our ideal candidate will also:
•A comprehensive knowledge of logistics scheduling and handling in an RF environment (LTL, small package, and ocean freight containers)
•A demonstrated history of leadership experience of 12 or more associates
•Experience managing a safety program
•Required computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
•Preferred computer skills: experience with computer software: Starship, Eclipse
•Experience operating material-handling equipment (forklift, container unload equipment, radio frequency scanners, pallet jacks)
