JOB TITLE: Field Engineer
REPORTS TO: Engineer Lead; Engineer Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
A Field Engineer has successfully completed Field Engineer Trainee Training Program, or has minimum 6 months experience from a comparable pumping and stimulation service company. The Field Engineer must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word). The FE begins onsite fluid quality control and is taught basic data van operations. The FE is taught and must complete training on Fracpro (or other comparable Fracture Simulation Software). The FE must exhibit a thorough understanding of fluids, slickwater and gel rheology, hydraulic fracturing theory, mechanics, and design before advancing to Field Engineer II.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Field Engineer is tasked with but not limited to:
Passes the Engineering Handbook class with an 70% or higher grade.
Pass other training courses as listed on the Engineering SharePoint.
Successfully performs a water analysis within an allotted time.
Successfully completes training classes with a 70% or higher grade in Engineering Handbook, Hydraulic Fracture Theory and Mechanics, Fracpro(or other similar Fracturing Simulation Software), Fluids Testing Training, and Log Analysis.
Exhibits basic competency in Fracpro(or other comparable Fracture Simulation Software) in accordance with Engineering Policies.
Competently performs water analysis on every stage of every job in accordance with Engineering Policies.
Competently performs Sand Sieve Analysis in accordance with Engineering Policies.
Learns to track and is competent in monitoring and reporting all chemical and proppant volumes.
Monitors chemical cleanup in accordance with Engineering Policies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline from an Accredited College or University. Engineering Degrees are preferred to be in one of the following Engineering Disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Petroleum.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
Knowledge of general confidential information policies, procedures, and regulations that governs employee and employer confidentiality.
Knowledge of general business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocations, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Mental and Physical Requirements
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.
Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.
Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
Adequate verbal and written communication with personnel and vendors.
Must be able to proficiently use a PC.
Must be physically capable to navigate around location and equipment.
This position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week depending on workload.

This position requires work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE). The candidate must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations. They must be willing to work a regular 14 day on and 7 day-off schedule that will include working day shifts and night shifts which include weekends and holidays.
