National Account Manager (Remote)
Hawaiian Ocean Transport, a subsidiary of Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation, is looking to strengthen our organization by adding top talent to our team. Hawaiian Ocean Transport (HOT) is your trusted and reliable transportation and logistics company who provide a wide range of ocean freight consolidating and forwarding, trucking and warehousing-distribution services to Hawaii and Guam.
We’re seeking a motivated National Account Manager to join our team. Logistics/Freight Forwarding / NVOCC experience is required, as well as a proven track record of account management and sales growth.
This is a 100% remote position.
- The primary objective of the National Account Manager is new business acquisition through the implementation of sales plans in line with company expectations and existing customer management.
- This role will be responsible for leveraging personal and professional contacts to generate a substantial sales income.
- This role will be part of a successful team, dedicated to building and protecting long term relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities within the logistics sector.

Travel Requirements:
Up to 50% overnight domestic travel is required, including air.

- Manage relationships and grow business within the existing customer base.
- Build relationships with high level decision makers in an assigned territory.
- Continually seek out new opportunities and review sales targets on a regular basis to ensure goals and expectations are met.
- Work as a collaborative team member, always available to assist colleagues, teammates, customers, etc.
- Understand customer expectations, requirements, challenges, and opportunities and communicate all relevant information to internal teams to ensure quality service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a sales role within the logistics/transportation industry is required.
- Must live in close proximity to an international airport.
Competencies:
- Must have a track record of success in a logistics, NVOCC /freight forwarding outside sales role.
- Must be able to identify and interact with key decision-makers in a business-to-business environment.
- Able to put together solutions to satisfy client requirements.
- Organized, punctual, and computer savvy to track progress, create proposals and maintain regular communication with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of local markets is essential.
- Basic awareness of state, federal and international laws and regulations governing the logistics industry.
