Lift Operator

The Lift Operator should be able to work well with others, follow directions, work in all type of weather conditions and have a general knowledge of the operation of various handling equipment and a yard switcher. Will be required to move through the tank with loaded and empty ISO’s attached to lift machine.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Operate heavy and light lift machines to load and unload tanks from chassis safely
• Perform daily check of equipment noting any issues requiring repair
• Transport equipment in the yard to proper locations
• Maintain the yard in an organized and operational manner
• Work with other departments when required
• Complete interchanges on all equipment in and out

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
• Operating experience of container handling equipment and/or yard jockey preferred
• Must be a hard worker who can work outside in all types of weather
• Must be able to follow directions
• Must be able to work with others
• Capable of climbing ladders to work at heights
• Overtime required
