Purpose:


The IT Program Manager will be responsible for delivery of complex, multi-region or enterprise-wide IT initiatives. He or she will manage full lifecycle of projects and programs that deliver IT enabled solutions at the speed of business, to drive competitive advantage in the marketplace. Position will partner with all business, functional, and IT organizations and teams to initiate, plan, execute and ensure successful completion of projects and programs commenced either by IT or business organizations. Initiatives may be comprised of multiple tracks or sub-projects that will be managed by other project managers that this person will lead. This role will integrate scope, definition, budget, project documentation, resource allocation, execution, deployment, and administrative closure to ensure the program is on-time, on-budget, and meets the requirements and objectives in order to achieve benefits.



Key Accountabilities:


• Know, understand, and lead full project and program lifecycle in accordance with formal methodology

• Identify and communicate to stakeholders at all levels

• Create program structure by breaking down program into tracks and/or projects, manage and coordinate interdependencies

• Build project teams by provisioning the appropriate resources from organizations, transforming individuals from various organizations into an integrated and effective working unit, assign track leads where appropriate

• Manage cost, scope, risk, and issues

• Create and monitor schedules, ensuring integrated project plans and cross-project dependencies are managed closely

• Manage, monitor, and report project/program progress

• Execute the project and program management processes (i.e. scope mgt., schedule mgt., resource mgt., stakeholder mgt., etc.) independently

• Deliver projects/programs on time, on target, and on budget

• Mentor and consult other project managers/track leads on the key activities and deliverables of a product development life cycle

• Facilitate project assessments and improvements within the project management processes

Key Challenges:


• Understanding and navigating the internal process, procedures, and policies of Information Technology and multiple global, and regional business and staff groups

• Ensuring the right level of stakeholder engagement on projects across the globe

• The effective use of various methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)

• Navigating through priorities and resources constrains


Knowledge and Experience:

BA/BS degree in information technology, business or other related field.

5+ years formal project and program management with increasing responsibility and complexity

9+ years of Information Technology experience

• Competent in all phases of the project delivery lifecycle from process design through production support.

• Project management certifications ex. PMI - PMP, PgMP,Agile or similar

• Understanding of IT frameworks, standards and models

• Experience in using project management software tools for project planning and communication

• Skilled in developing project documentation such as scope definition, work breakdown structure, organization breakdown structure, project plan, schedule, budget, and risk management

• Fluency in English, Portuguese, and other European languages preferred
