JOB SUMMARY


As Business Analytics Analyst (Retail Trade Sales), you will create valuable insights with one of our largest retailers, Walmart and play an important role in the Center of Excellence driving strategic initiatives across key Grocery, Mass, Liquor and Convenience retailers. The position plays an integral role in developing thought leadership with insights that help our sales team grow our business profitably at these retailers. There is opportunity to add perspective and value in running sales reports for the Field Sales Organization by providing key analytics. You will work in data systems and Excel to support activities involving distribution levels, pricing, promotions, and sales goal tracking of company brand priorities. This position requires a blend of analytics and intellectual curiosity while working within large data sets. The data sources span IRI market and Consumer panel data, Walmart Retail link, 3-tier depletion data and internal financials. This role is eligible for remote work.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in key strategic projects within the Insights Center of Excellence.
  • Develop and deploy analytical reporting helping our retailers and sales team assess performance in the marketplace and drive actionable insights.
  • Ability to analyze POS sales and depletion data. Learn how to navigate data systems.
  • Pull data from available resources, create, and implement tools that incorporate market conditions used to analyze and support TWG brands in Walmart and other chain retailers.
  • Brand recommendations that will potentially grow the share of a category if distribution expands on a performing item in a selected market.
  • Assist with implementation of purchase orders, support our distributor network forecasting and securing inventory levels that meet demand in the marketplace and effectively communicate with the TWG customer service staff to help address market level issues where they may arise.
  • Ability to develop selling presentations to support customer appointments in Power Point or MS Office Products based programs.
  • Utilize high-level analytical ability and creativity to analyze complex/new situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively at once.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related disciplines preferred
  • Entry level opportunity with up to 3 years of experience
  • Analytics driven, collaborator, time-management focused, self-motivator
  • Possessing the necessary computer skills needed to be effective in an analytical role
  • Strong technical skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI
  • Previous work experience with syndicated data and Retail Link preferred
  • Strong analytical and cognitive skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player

  • Self-directed and highly motivated, readiness to learn
