JOB SUMMARY


Under the direction of the Retail Merchandising Manager, the Retail Merchandising Associate has an eye for design and visual display and is responsible for the organization, set-up, and re-stocking of Tasting Room merchandise and supplies. This role is also responsible for assisting with any other essential non-wine duties in the Tasting Room. This position is part-time, up to 29 hours weekly.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Successful candidates will have an appreciation for design and visual display, and possess the ability to create sales vignettes and assemble food displays for events
  • Maintain merchandise displays and stations
  • Re-stock Benziger and Imagery Tasting Rooms merchandise and supplies to include food and non-alcoholic beverages, clothing, wine accessories, jewelry etc.
  • Receive and store merchandise and supplies
  • Identify low stock quantities and re-order needs with Retail Merchandising Manager, and support for inventory as needed
  • Assist with sku creation and data entry into POS system
  • Assist in merchandising and decorating for special events
  • General organization and upkeep of merchandise storage and work areas
  • Remove plates and silverware, when patrons are finished and assist with buffing clean glassware
  • Wash dishes, flatware, and/or other serve ware using conventional dishwasher
  • Maintain service stations in a clean and orderly fashion throughout shift
  • Keep floor free and clear of broken glass, water, and other debris
  • Assist in routine cleaning of varied Tasting Room areas based on scheduled service and ensure areas are presentable for our patrons
  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 or older at time of hire.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Must be flexible in working one weekend day weekly, and special events when required
  • At least one (1) year retail experience is highly desired but not required
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with Excel and basic data entry. Experience with POS software preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to frequently move, transport and position objects weighing up to 40 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, lift trucks, hand trucks, dishwashers etc.
  • Ability to move, traverse, and/or position one’s self in the performance of various tasks
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
