JOB SUMMARY


As Sr. Manager of Insights (Marketing), you will lead dissemination of insights to TWG’s marketing leadership, brand managers and innovation team. You will provide analytical thought leadership that helps our marketers drive strategies for our key brands successfully in the market and help launch differentiated new brands and products that drive incremental growth. The job plays an integral role in bringing actionable insights by analyzing market performance, consumer purchase and preferences and merchandising factors such as pricing, promotions and programs. This position requires a blend of analytics, marketing, financial savvy, and strategic vision. At your disposal you will have a suite of rich data sources spanning IRI market data, Consumer Panel data, retailer loyalty card data, 3-tier system depletion data, internal financials and a body of industry research and publications. You will report to the Vice President of Insights.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop consultative thought leadership on consumers and markets
  • Develop and deploy automated analytical suite of reporting that helps our marketers track performance, plan and take actions
  • You will develop a rich body of work that showcases story-telling with data that covers emerging trends and their implications to our business
  • Coach marketers on interpreting insights and be more hands-on and enable them to permeate insights in key discussions/decisions
  • Partner with broader Insights Center of Excellence at TWG collaborating on broader facets of delivery of insights to the company leadership, TWG sales teams and Finance team.
  • Beyond the use of secondary data like IRI/Nielsen market data, IRI/Nielsen panel data and retailer loyalty platforms, you will also support or lead primary research initiatives


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or equivalent experience in an analytical discipline
  • Experience in Retail and CPG sector; Experience in Beer/Wine/Spirits industry is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with crafting compelling stories with consumer stories
  • Strong data manipulation skills in Excel, Power-point; Additional plus if familiarity with Power BI and SQL
  • Extensive background in understanding ways to pull, process and interpret market scan data including IRI market scans, consumer panel data as well as internal company depletions/shipments to build tools that will identify market opportunities around trends, segment opportunities and growth areas.
  • Leverage all market data including Source of Volume, Brand Interaction Analysis, Switching Reports, Consumer Demographics, Basket Cart Analysis, Switching, Point of Entry, Consumer Decision Trees etc. via platforms leveraging Retailer loyalty data.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be flexible to changes
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and focus on value and effectiveness
  • Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Support and model all Company procedures and policies

  • Willing to travel with overnight stays as needed
