JOB SUMMARY


As Senior Manager, Commercial Finance – SG&A, you will be primarily responsible for managing the operating expense budgeting and reporting process for the SG&A organization. You will work closely with budget owners to ensure adherence to planned A&P, salary and fringe, T&E and other operating expenses. This role requires an experienced finance professional with attention to detail, technical savvy and a commercial mindset. The ideal candidate is a creative and collaborative problem solver who serves a key role in the broader Commercial Finance and Insights group, contributing valuable inputs to both the corporate and commercial P&L.  This role is eligible for remote work.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Generate accurate and timely monthly department expense reports and meet with leaders in Sales, Finance, Marketing and HR to update them on year-to-date performance
  • Proactively research monthly variances to drive insight into business performance
  • Lead creation of SG&A budget templates and maintain monthly budget and actual expenses in data warehouse and JD Edwards system
  • Build detailed operating expense plan as part of the annual operating planning cycle
  • Conduct quarterly forecasting to identify risk and opportunity
  • Partner with AP team to post accruals and journal entries
  • Lead operating expense component of Commercial Finance systems integration
  • Calculate quarterly royalty payments/receipts and facilitate invoicing with third parties


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or equivalent experience in finance
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance role
  • Highly motivated with strong work ethic and desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and focus on value and effectiveness
  • Knowledge JD Edwards application preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL or relational database concepts preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
  • Ability to prioritize while able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in Beer/Wine/Spirits or other CPG industry is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be flexible to changes
  • Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Support and model all Company procedures and policies

  • Willing to travel with overnight stays as needed
